1. Scope
These terms apply to all contracts between you and [to be completed: operator.name] ("we", "us") about the use of Bleiben at https://bleiben.link. The contract language is English. Our offer is for consumers.
2. What Bleiben is
Bleiben is a self-paced service that helps you prepare for the German settlement permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis): a date calculator, a Leben in Deutschland trainer, German lessons and practice, AI feedback on your German, a planner with reminders, a document checklist and vault, and an exam finder. There are no live teachers; feedback is created automatically.
Bleiben is not legal advice. It gives general information. Your Ausländerbehörde decides about your application. We don't promise that you will pass an exam or get a permit, or by when.
Bleiben is not affiliated with the BAMF, any immigration office, the Goethe-Institut, telc or ÖSD.
3. Your account
You need an account for most features beyond the calculator and the exam finder. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and at least 18 to buy a plan. An account is for one person; keep your login to yourself. Please give a working email address, because we send login links and confirmations there.
4. Free plan
The free plan includes the calculator, the exam finder, 20 Leben in Deutschland practice questions a day and 1 mock test in total, week 1 of the A1 path, and 3 AI writing checks in total.
5. Plans and prices
All prices include 19 % VAT.

The pricing page describes what each plan includes. You pay through our payment provider Stripe, with the payment methods shown there. Subscriptions are paid in advance at the start of each billing period. If you buy a one-time plan again while it is still running, the new time is added at the end.
6. How the contract is made
The pricing and checkout pages are not yet a binding offer. On our checkout page you confirm that your access should start right away (see section 8). On the Stripe payment page you can check and correct your details; by clicking the final payment button you make a binding offer. We accept it by giving you access. We then send you an order confirmation by email.
7. Term and cancellation
- Practice Monthly runs for one month and renews by one month at a time. You can cancel at any time; it then ends at the end of the month you have paid for.
- Practice Annual runs for a first term of 12 months. If you cancel during the first year, it ends at the end of that year. After the first year it continues for an indefinite period at €8.25 a month, and you can cancel at any time with one month's notice; it then ends at the end of the current monthly period.
- Paperwork Pass and Exam Sprint end automatically after their term. You don't need to cancel them.
You can cancel with the cancel button on our website (Cancel contracts (Verträge hier kündigen)), which works without logging in, or by email to [to be completed: operator.email]. The right of both parties to terminate for good cause is not affected.
If a subscription payment fails, your access continues while the payment is retried, and for 3 days after the end of the paid period. If the payment still can't be collected, the subscription ends.
8. Right of withdrawal

Folgen des Widerrufs
Wenn Sie diesen Vertrag widerrufen, haben wir Ihnen alle Zahlungen, die wir von Ihnen erhalten haben, einschließlich der Lieferkosten (mit Ausnahme der zusätzlichen Kosten, die sich daraus ergeben, dass Sie eine andere Art der Lieferung als die von uns angebotene, günstigste Standardlieferung gewählt haben), unverzüglich und spätestens binnen vierzehn Tagen ab dem Tag zurückzuzahlen, an dem die Mitteilung über Ihren Widerruf dieses Vertrags bei uns eingegangen ist. Für diese Rückzahlung verwenden wir dasselbe Zahlungsmittel, das Sie bei der ursprünglichen Transaktion eingesetzt haben, es sei denn, mit Ihnen wurde ausdrücklich etwas anderes vereinbart; in keinem Fall werden Ihnen wegen dieser Rückzahlung Entgelte berechnet.
Haben Sie verlangt, dass die Dienstleistungen während der Widerrufsfrist beginnen sollen, so haben Sie uns einen angemessenen Betrag zu zahlen, der dem Anteil der bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, zu dem Sie uns von der Ausübung des Widerrufsrechts hinsichtlich dieses Vertrags unterrichten, bereits erbrachten Dienstleistungen im Vergleich zum Gesamtumfang der im Vertrag vorgesehenen Dienstleistungen entspricht.
Besondere Hinweise
Ihr Widerrufsrecht erlischt bei einem Vertrag über die Bereitstellung von nicht auf einem körperlichen Datenträger befindlichen digitalen Inhalten, wenn wir mit der Ausführung des Vertrags begonnen haben, nachdem Sie ausdrücklich zugestimmt haben, dass wir vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist mit der Ausführung des Vertrags beginnen, und Sie Ihre Kenntnis davon bestätigt haben, dass Sie durch Ihre Zustimmung mit Beginn der Ausführung des Vertrags Ihr Widerrufsrecht verlieren.

Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us ([to be completed: operator.name], [to be completed: operator.addressLine], email: [to be completed: operator.email], phone: [to be completed: operator.phone]) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post, or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough that you send your notice about exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments we have received from you, without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
If you asked for the services to begin during the withdrawal period, you must pay us an amount in proportion to what has been provided until you informed us of your withdrawal, compared with the full scope of the contract.
Special note
For a contract about digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, your right of withdrawal ends when we have started performing the contract, after you expressly agreed that we start before the end of the withdrawal period and confirmed that you know you lose your right of withdrawal when we start. On our checkout page, you can give this consent and confirmation with the checkbox before paying.

9. Fair use
There is no unlimited AI feedback: every plan has daily limits, currently up to 15 writing checks and 60 speaking turns a day with Practice (more with Exam Sprint). You may not share your account, use automated tools to access Bleiben, or copy our content in bulk. If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may block your access after a warning.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Bleiben available, but we can't promise that it is available at all times; for example, maintenance may interrupt it. We may improve and change features as long as the main services you paid for stay available.
11. Your content
The texts you write and the documents you upload remain yours. You allow us to process them only as far as needed to provide Bleiben (for example to create AI feedback or to store your documents). Only upload documents that you are allowed to use.
12. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an obligation that is essential for the contract and that you regularly rely on (a cardinal obligation), limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise, our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for future contracts. Changes to a running contract that affect the main services or the price only apply if you agree to them.
14. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you usually live.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remains valid.
